We decided to venture out to the Rodeo today after learning that it had a lot of activities for kids. Plus the weather wasn't too hot so it made for a nice outdoor activity. We spent our entire time there in the kids zone, really T has too short of an attention span for much else. Trying to get her to sit still to watch the K-9 aerial show was hard enough and she loves dogs but she loved climbing up and down the bleachers even more!
I should also point out it was St. Patty's day K was celebrating both the holiday and the Rodeo with his choice of outfits! I however didn't have anything green for the munchkin to wear :( ooops!
We started off with a Pony ride, leading up to the rodeo she was obsessed with horses. She would point them out everywhere in her books, on TV, when we were out driving, but when it's time for her to get on a horse well she wasn't thrilled about it. I think the first picture says it all.....

But she eventually warmed up to it and ended up riding in the end without daddy having to hold on to her. |
Then we were off to the petting zoo. I'm personally not a huge fan of the petting zoo but T and her daddy love it. I'm happy to take pictures and watch them feed the animals. However this time my shirt was eaten on two separate occasions and so was the strap on my backpack, I think next time I'll shoot pictures from outside the petting zoo!

It's just so much fun mommy! |
 |
Giving hugs! |
 |
She just loves animals! |
Then it was off to see the pigs race around the track. I think she enjoyed hanging out with the other kids more than watching the races. But it was fun to root for the piglets.
 |
Ready for the race to start. |
 |
Here they come! |
 |
Rooting for her favorite piglet. |
After walking around some more and looking at all the animals, grabbing carnival food for lunch, and checking out a few more exhibits the munchkin was spent and it was time to head back home. But our trip wouldn't be complete without some ice cream!
We'll be back again next year!
