Beach Trip 2012

How did it become October? I knew I wouldn't be good at keeping this up-to-date!

In September we headed back east to Rehoboth Beach, DE to see both of our families. It was a great trip, we are so lucky that we were able to spend time with our parents, brothers, sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews. I was afraid that T would not be a big fan of the sand, since on our first and only trip to the sandbox she wasn't too thrilled with the experience. But she LOVED it. At first she didn't love the waves and the crashing noise up close, but by the end of the week she was ready to run full speed into the water. Sept. was a great time to head to the beach it was not crowded and T had plenty of space to run without me having to be right behind her. Our trip included seeing both sets of grandparents:

Her Auntie M and Uncle B and cousin O....

Celebrating O's birthday early so we could partake....

Seeing her Uncle B and Aunti A and all her cousins on that side.....

She LOVED riding in the Barbie car I see a future birthday present for her...

T was Baptized and we are thankful that we were able to have her immediate family with us on that day (minus Uncle C and Auntie S), and very grateful to Father Mink for performing the ceremony for us. We would have liked to have everyone with us, but living so far away makes everything that much more difficult.

We had a great time playing in the sand. And on one day there was a tide pool, T was in heaven, I was hoping we would see one again on our trip but alas it didn't reappear.

Pepere and cousin O almost got swept away by the sea (if only you could see the impending wave behind them you would understand this statement). I was pretty sure I'd be diving in to say them., thankfully I didn't but Pepere's phone did bite the dust.

The adult beer drinkers took the tour of Dogfish Head Brewery:

The adult "children" went out for a night leaving the babes behind with the grandparents (thanks!!)

There were crabs to be eaten:

A Bloody Mary contest to be had (it was a tie, so to be continued)

And in the end we were sad to have to say good-bye and head home. We will definitely be doing this again, hopefully it becomes an annual tradition!
